An unusual evergreen shrub with an iridescent sheen on young light green leaves turning dark green as they age. Seems to have larger leaves than H.himalaica and H.chinensis which we also grow in the garden. Flowers appear in the middle of the leaf followed by red berries. Best grown in a sheltered spot in semi shade.
