A herbaceous twining climber with dark green heart shaped leaves with defined veining. Spikes of small green/yellow flower in mid summer. Leaves turn bright yellow in autumn before die back to the ground where a large tuber is formed. Bulbils form on the leaf axis. Mulch for winter.
