Cast-iron Plant. Popular in Victorian times as a houseplant but also useful in the garden in a shady spot, has glossy dark green foliage, bell-shaped flowers at the base of the plant. Max Height 60cm. Max Spread 60cm. Flowers March to April. Shaded site. Frost hardy. We have had this in the garden for over 10 years. Tolerant of dry shade.
