Japanese maple. One of the best maples for bright spring colour, golden-yellow, with an orange edge in spring. The leaves fade to a dark green by the middle of summer, before turning a rich orange and yellow in autumn. Max Height 1.4m. Max Spread 1.4m. Full sun. Hardy. If pot grown ensure adequate water supply eg saucer under pot during growing season. Best grown in semi shade and sheltered from cold winds and late frosts as young foliage can be damaged.
