Large Impatiens with thick red stems and large attractive leaves. Flowers are orchid shaped and a lovely pink colour with a darker throat. Endangered if not extinct in its native habitat in South Africa. Not often seen for sale in UK. Literature classifies this as tender however we have had this growing in the garden for five years now in well drained soil in the shade of shrubs and trees. We mulch well in the Autumn. Tuberous in nature which gives it the ability to survive in these conditions.
