Large showy perennial with thick red branching stems growing to over 2m tall with large mid green leaves. The pendant racemes of pinkyred flowers at the ends of the stems emerge in Juneand by Autumn form wonderful glossybunches of fruit. The plant and berries are poisonous but not if you don’t eat them! This is the true form unlike many that are in the trradewhich are aciniosa x americanatypes.
